Hepatitis C is an infection of the liver caused by a virus and is commonly passed from person to person by way of infected blood. It may take many years for Hepatitis C symptoms to appear, most commonly: fatigue, fever, yellow skin or eyes, dark urine or light stool, nausea and stomach pain.
If you are newly diagnosed or have Chronic Hepatitis C, the Cempa Community Care Clinic provides individualized health plans to treat and monitor your HCV infection. Cempa’s providers follow CDC guidelines to perform a medical evaluation and regular checkups, screen for and provide Hepatitis A & B vaccinations, test for and assess your risk for HIV transmission, and discuss preventative care.
As an HCV patient, you will also have access to Nutritional Counseling from Cempa’s Registered Dietitian to help you reach your health goals fit for your HCV treatment plan.
