Cempa Wins Chamber Small Business Award
Last week, the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce named Cempa Community Care the Small Business of the Year in the nonprofit category. We were thrilled (and still are!) to be honored with such a prestigious award, especially considering our peer finalists, Children’s Advocacy Center and Launch Chattanooga.
From the banquet podium, Cempa’s CEO Shannon Stephenson thanked the Cempa team, noting that, “When Covid-19 hit, our team mobilized quickly and responded to the community’s needs in one of the most challenging times.”
We are proud of the work we are able to do on behalf of the Chattanooga community, eliminating health disparities and ultimately bettering health outcomes in the areas we serve. Breaking through long-standing barriers is no easy task, and it takes a relentless effort from a dedicated team to do it. We are fortunate to have assembled a staff at Cempa that takes our mission seriously and supports each other daily. Together, we are champions for our region’s people and their health.
