Latino distrust in the COVID-19 vaccine stems from language barrier
COVID-19 vaccines are being distributed for the first phase of Tennessee’s roll-out plan, but there is distrust mounting in minority communities including Latinos.
Local experts said the language barrier makes it hard for Latinos to receive the correct information that would encourage them to increase their trust in taking the vaccine.
“It’s not just distributing the vaccine,” said Paulo Huston Soloranzo from Cempa Community Care,” it is getting people to take it.
