Michael Davis, MD received his undergraduate education at Berry College and medical school training at East Tennessee State University’s Quillen College of Medicine. Following medical school he completed his internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Alabama Birmingham Hospital. Along with working locally in the Chattanooga area as a hospitalist at Erlanger Health System, Dr. Davis’ medical journey has taken him to hospitals across the southeast, as well as a two-year stint at Tenwek Mission Hospital in Bomet, Kenya where he completed a Fellowship program in Missionary Medicine. Already familiar with Cempa, having served as an infectious disease consultant for the organization between 2015 and 2016, Dr. Davis joined Cempa Community Care in January 2020. His efforts and expertise in infectious disease have been acknowledged across the world, as he has given lectures internationally on topics ranging from Ebola to HIV care.
