The Results Are In: We Won a 2023 Latino Leadership Award!
Another week, another award!
We are beyond excited to announce that we’ve received another award just two weeks after being recognized as one of Chattanooga’s Champions of Health Care!
When we found out our friends at La Paz Chattanooga were bringing back their annual Latino Leadership Awards program — and that we were a finalist for the Latino Community Champion Award — we were thrilled. But we’d be lying if we said we weren’t even more excited to bring home a win from the event!
La Paz is a longtime partner to us here at Cempa, and we love the work they do to make Chattanooga a more connected city. We’re proud to work alongside fantastic organizations like La Paz who aim to support underserved communities through holistic services that care for the whole person — much like we do here at Cempa. After all, we’re better and stronger together.
The Latino Community Champion Award “recognizes organizations and businesses that have championed services for and/or made a significant impact on Chattanooga’s Latino population.” Having served the Latino community for many years, our team understands the challenges and barriers to care this booming population often faces. That’s why we developed our Latinx Outreach Initiative, through which we educate and empower the Latinx community on infectious diseases and primary care through compassionate, linguistic, and cultural relevance.
Please join us in congratulating #TeamCempa for doing award-winning work every single day, as well as all the other winners (including our very own Latinx Outreach Consultant, Paulo Hutson Solórzano) who are making a big impact in the Latino community and in Chattanooga as a whole.
