Cempa Community Care recently appointed Jamie Barbeauld, CPA, as the organization’s chief financial officer.
A licensed certified public accountant in the state of Tennessee, Barbeauld brings 20 years of accounting experience to Cempa’s leadership team. Specific areas of focus in her role will include financial reporting, grant compliance, and internal control functions, as well as budgeting and KPI analysis, among others.
Barbeauld began her career at a regional accounting firm in the audit department, working on public company and nonprofit audits, as well as audits of employee benefit plans. For the past several years, Barbeauld has served as a financial services consultant for nonprofits and small businesses, helping clients maintain and grow operations.
“After meeting with the team at Cempa, I knew my experience with nonprofits could help further the organization’s mission and vision,” Barbeauld said. “There are so many gaps in healthcare, and organizations like Cempa help to close some of those gaps and provide a safe and secure experience for our patients and clients.”
Barbeauld received her Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and is a current member of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
