This recognition highlights Cempa’s commitment to advancing community health through clinical care and educational partnerships.
Cempa Community Care has been named the 2026 Outstanding Community Partner by the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) College of Nursing, recognizing the organization’s ongoing commitment to supporting student education and improving health outcomes across the community.
Cempa partners closely with UTC’s College of Nursing to provide hands-on learning opportunities for students while delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients across the region.
“We are honored to be recognized by UTC’s College of Nursing as an Outstanding Community Partner,” said Dr. Shannon Burger, CEO of Cempa. “Our partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the healthcare workforce while ensuring our community has access to high-quality, patient-centered care. We are proud to support the next generation of nurses and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such a dedicated and impactful program.”
The award was presented at the NightinGala on April 25 at the Wolford Center on UTC’s campus.
Todd Belk, MSN, FNP-C, and Kaylee Saunders, FNP-C, both nurse practitioners at Cempa, accepted the award on behalf of the organization.
