Wooten completed the elite two-month leadership program designed to elevate healthcare executives and enhance the impact of the organizations they lead.
Shauna Wooten, Director of Patient Access & Revenue Cycle at Cempa Community Care, recently completed the UCLA/Johnson & Johnson Health Care Executive Program, hosted by the UCLA Anderson School of Management. The highly selective, two-month program is designed to strengthen leadership and management skills for healthcare professionals working in dynamic, community-based settings.
“To say I am honored to have been a part of the executive program would be an understatement,” said Wooten. “The knowledge and skills I gained from the program will have a direct and positive impact on our work at Cempa. My time in Los Angeles provided valuable insights into best practices for integrating technology and data analytics into patient access and revenue cycle management strategies, which can significantly boost efficiency and accuracy.”
The Health Care Executive Program equips participants with tools to navigate the evolving healthcare landscape and lead their organizations through meaningful growth and transformation. With a focus on strategic thinking, operational excellence, and community-centered care, the program supports leaders in delivering high-quality, accessible services to the populations they serve.
“I learned to identify bottlenecks, implement process improvements, and enhance communication between departments,” continued Wooten. “By applying these insights, we can better manage the departments under my purview at Cempa, ultimately leading to increased revenue and improved financial health for our organization.”
Cempa, recognized on multiple best places to work lists, has a strong history of supporting the professional development of its staff, and Wooten’s success in this particular program is a continuation of that trend.
“Shauna’s achievement is a reflection of Cempa’s commitment to investing in our team so we can better serve our patients,” said Dr. Shannon Burger, CEO of Cempa Community Care. “Leadership development like this ensures we stay ahead of the curve in delivering high-quality care to those who need it most. We are proud of Shauna and excited to see her insights translated into action.”
